The titling of our film was a relatively straightforward process for our group, this is because of the fact that the idea we took inspiration from is a pre existing novel and a pre exiting television show which has been re made several times. Each of these versions has been named :"Lamb to the Slaughter," Therefore we decided to stick to the original title, thought up by Roald Dahl when he originally wrote it. We decided not to change the name of the film as we felt that as we were using a pre existing idea it would be disrespectful to the original to re name it.
We also agreed as a group that we all liked the name and appreciated the humour associated with it, This was because we felt that it supported the idea of our film falling under the genre of a dark comedy and was a catchy and intriguing for the viewer. The title also helps to give some background information to the audience as well as making them question what is happening throughout the film. As well as this, it establishes the idea of Barthes' Enigma Code, establishing an enigma almost immediately.
